What are you going to be eating over the Easter weekend? Roast Lamb, chicken, duck or something less traditional? If you have any special requests please get your Easter orders into us as soon as possible so that we can guarantee supply.

Our Easter opening hours are:

  • Good Friday 8.30am to 2pm.
  • Saturday 8.30am to 5pm
  • Easter Sunday CLOSED
  • Easter Monday CLOSED

New Product Tasting – The Sauce Queen

We have some delicious new fresh sauces in from The Sauce Queen. These are made locally ' in Madeley nr. Crewe and they are absolutely sublime! There are three different sauces in stock at Oxtail & Trotter ' Pepper Sauce with Brandy, Posh Porcini Mushroom Sauce & Stilton & White Wine Sauce. All of them are a perfect accompaniment to our fabulous steaks, the mushroom sauce is fantastic with pasta or chicken too. Elys Poppy ' the founder of this local brand ' is coming to Oxtail & Trotter on Friday 22nd March (10am-1pm) to provide tasters so come along and see what you think.

Tamworth Pork

From Audley Brow Farm, Moreton Say, Nr Market Drayton. We have some rare breed free range pork on the counter this week, reared on a local farm, this breed is renowned for it's sandy colour ('The Ginger Pig') and regularly comes top of the taste tests. This week you will find a selection of pork cuts and sausages made from this delightful breed.

Beef Shorthorn

From B Wilson, Gnosall, Staffordshire. Beef Shorthorns come in three colours, red, white and roan. They are bigger than their dairy counterparts (Dairy Shorthorn) and are grown specifically for their beef. The breed is renowned for it's proven marbling and early finishing abilities.
