Rebecca Jewitt, headteacher of Audlem St James, has told us that there have been a few reports from parents saying that they have seen an increase of dog mess on the pavements in the local streets and have had a few instances of younger children stepping in this on their way to school.

She asks whether there is there any awareness raising that can be done in the village to help to combat this.

Nick Jarvis, our local Police Community Support Officer, has responded to the head teacher, saying that he will contact the Community Wardens as they will be happy to patrol the area and give out tickets when appropriate. He will also keep an eye out when patrolling.
