A concerned local resident has contacted Audlem Online to say he saw a black and white collie dog, with no owner in sight, get into a field near the village yesterday. The dog worried the sheep and one broke a leg trying to escape. Another was attacked by the dog which inflicted bite injuries.

With the lambing season now underway, the resident has asked that people walking their dogs keep them on a lead and that dogs are not allowed out on their own.
