So much happened this past weekend in Audlem, we are still catching up with the news.

Many took a break from the great music to rise to an Australian challenge in the the three-day didgeredoo competition at the Mill Shop. It ran on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. It was won by Ella Lamprell, aged 13; Rhiannon Morris, aged 11; and Billy Gibbons, age a closely guarded state secret,

Billy was delighted to be able to compete so effortlessly with the youngsters. Blown away by his success, he told Audlem Online: "Ahh, the Digear... Digere.... Diggearrr..... Long, Hollow Wooden thing! Well, I didn't tell anyone I could play it because.....I didn't know I could until I visited our wonderful Mill Shop over the Bank Holiday weekend! It was a surprise to me as much as anyone else.

"So, I am now the proud owner of a Diger.....one of them, and if any of you people have ever felt sorry for my neighbours before...they ain't heard nothing yet! You never know, New Moon Fever may let me play it on stage with them......well, perhaps not."

Nuff said.
