Devastating news for Audlem FC

A happy moment dashed from our hands! By the vagaries of cruel fate.

There was unbridled joy in getting our first points in the league with our 5-2 victory on the 14th December. Yes , we did win!

There was much celebration and a heavy cost to me for the first round of drinks at our Sponsor's establishment, The Lord C.

We have now just received the news that Rookery Tavern, the losers on that memorable day, have resigned from the Crewe Sunday League. This means, I am given to understand, that our points so joyfully gained will be deleted and we are back to Square One. Pointless!

And I doubt very much that I will recover the beers I funded!
