It was a great day out for the 2nd 3 Shires Cyclesportive held on Sunday 14th May starting from Sandbach Rugby Club and taking in three counties.Over 550 riders took part, over three different routes/distances, 365 of whom came through the village which was the longest of the route options.
The overwhelming response from those who did ride through Audlem was how well organised it all was and they send a huge 'thank-you' to each of the Marshalls and Supporters who supported the event. The pit stop at the entrance to Overwater Marina was a welcome treat, with drinks, fortifying food, and even a loo!
Many of them expressed the hope that this Event will be staged again next year.
The final sum raised for the RNLI has yet to be confirmed but it is anticipated to be in the region of £10,000.
