With Port Sunlight unable to raise a team for their Sunday fixture at The Gorse Croft it was left to the league X1 the previous day to claim the weekend honours.
Audlem romped to a nine wicket victory on their trip to Rode Park & Lawton. Abhijith Jayan's 3 for 16 was instrumental in skittling Rode Park for only 78 all out whilst Neil Humphries, Callum McIlveen and Dave Parkinson shared six wickets between them . Michael Hulme top scored with 25 for Rode Park but it proved to be in vain as Audlem had a comfortable afternoon as Dan Butler stroked 45 not out in the reply. Audlem remain in third place in the table with just one game remaining before the end of the season.
The final fixtures see both Audlem teams playing at home with the Saturday X1 welcoming Wood Lane ( 12.30pm ) to the Gorse Croft & the following day the Sunday X1 entertain Woore ( 12.15pm ) in what has become a traditional end of season fixture.
Audlem will again be on the look out for new players during the close season and with the indoor nets already booked for the New Year at The Cricket Barn in nearby Aston everyone is welcome to come along . Contact details are on the club's playcricket page.
