Cricket Club seeking ball sponsorship

Following the most successful season for many years, Audlem Cricket Club is seeking sponsorship from both individuals and local businesses for the forthcoming season.

2011 will see the 1st XI trying to go one better than 2009 and 2010, when promotion to Division 1 of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance was denied on the last day of the season. The 2nd XI will compete in Division 4 for the first time, having romped to the Division 5 title, more than 70 points ahead of the second-placed team.

During the season 44 league games are scheduled to be played. In addition, each team enters the knockout cup and a new ball is needed every time. Each ball costs almost £15, so the cost of the match balls for the season is over £600. In order to defray some of the cost of the balls, the Club is asking for sponsorship. If you would like to sponsor a match ball, the Club is asking for £15.

As you are aware, Audlem Online endeavours to report each game and the name of the sponsor will be mentioned in the report of the game and at the end of the report, when the next week's fixtures are mentioned.
