Coxbank flood update

Our Bagley Lane correspondent gives a latest update on the Coxbank flood. He says:

"Have just been down to Coxbank – the water is still there about the same as yesterday and pot holes have not been sorted. Will now probably have to wait until Monday for further action.

"Having just read the Chatbox I'm wondering if:

• Cheshire East has a new road maintenance policy, that of instead of mending problems it is to stick signs to the approach of hazards and then forget about them?


• This may also be the precursor to the new strategy of Cheshire East when they significantly reduce the road maintenance budget in their Draft Budget proposals, of just letting nature and the traffic take its course?"
