This letter has been sent out by Andy Perry, Headteacher of Audlem St James' C of E Primary School

Dear Neighbour,
I am writing to inform you of the activity that will be happening in and around the school following the government's decision to re-open schools on the 1st of June.

All staff will be working in school from the 1st of June to prepare for the return of pupils. In line with government and local authority guidelines children in reception will be returning to school on the 15th of June, Y1 on the 22nd of June and Y6 on the 29th of June. This is in addition to the children of keyworkers that have been attending school ince the lockdown began.

We are planning to stagger drop of and pick up times to reduce the number of parents on site at any one time. This will mean that from these dates traffic around the school will increase in the mornings and afternoons and for a longer period than would normally occur. I and my staff will be outside monitoring these periods to ensure that pupils arrive at and leave the school efficiently and safely and parents do not gather.

We are endeavouring to put all the social distancing measures in place to make the school and grounds as safe as possible for pupils, staff, families and the local community and I thank you for your understanding and patience at this difficult time.

Kind regards,
Andy Perry
Headteacher
