It's the launch event today by Morris Care of the newly extended facilities at its Corbrook Court Nursing Home. The celebrity guest will be writer, broadcaster and social campaigner Claire Rayner. Claire began her career in nursing before turning to writing in 1960 and was appointed an OBE in 1996 for services to women and health issues.

The launch will be to officially open the newly completed 24 bedroom extension at the Corbrook Court Nursing Home in Audlem. The event will be held from 2pm – 5pm, where there will be opportunities to meet Claire Rayner, view the new extension and its facilities and meet staff and residents.

Timothy Morris, Director of Morris Care said: "We thought Claire Rayner would be the ideal person to open our new extension and we were absolutely delighted when she accepted our invitation. Claire has dedicated many years to caring and guiding others and we are extremely pleased to have her as our guest."

The newly constructed extension is in keeping with the original Edwardian style building, which stands in over 11 acres of grounds, with magnificent views over the local countryside just outside Audlem. The care home provides a wide range of nursing services including respite stays, post-operative convalescence and rehabilitation.
