Charity night in Hankelow

This week's Nantwich Chronicle covers the two friends who have embarked on a charity fund-raising mission with a series of gruelling challenges.

Linda Shemilt of Holly Bank in Audlem is supporting the Brittle Bone Society, a condition her daughter Amy lives with. Tricia Williamson is fund-raising for the Christie Hospital following her own battle with cancer.

Linda is to set off for the Far East to walk along the Great Wall of China. She says: "I've never quite done anything like it. I'm not getting any younger and thought this could be my last chance to do something like this.

A Charity Quiz Night is being held at the Hankelow Cottage Indian Restaurant tonight, Thursday 29th September at 7.30. Tickets cost £15 for a 4 course Indian meal. The night is to raise funds in aid of both The Brittle Bone Society and Christies Hospital.
