Charity Golf Report

The sun was shining last Friday, having enjoyed an excellent full English breakfast 72 golfers took to the golf course. I believe the beer cart was immediately called into action as the heat was getting to us all. The striped ball game was taken very seriously with an impressive 9 balls returning to the club house. The 4th had been chosen for a very tricky nearest the pin at only 94 yards it's difficult to decide what club to go with, 4 players managed to shoot the green !

Longest drive proved to be equally as tricky, trying to keep the ball on a very dry fairway, Rich Simpson showed the way with an impressive 5 wood shot (270 yards) only to be told this was the longest drive !

Many players had success with the beat the Pro game, I m told he was often handing out sleeves of balls to triumphant players.

Some teams towards the end of the round saw us all enjoying beers and having a laugh, by seeing this downed clubs and called it a day.

Back to the White lion joining friends and family for some food, drink and live music by Jody Jennings and Gemma Tinsley, with Players eagerly awaiting the results of the day.

• Nearest the pin – Mark Quinn
• Longest Drive – Jo Price 354 yards !
• Stripped ball game – Fore Mid Table ( won a Four ball at Trentham)
• Best Dressed – fore Musterbeers ( won feather bowers and heart shaped sunglasses). The Foreskins nearly caused a riot for this decision, and I was looking over my shoulder all night haha !
• 1st – 3 Skins & silicone. 128 points (£50 American golf voucher each)
• 2nd – The Choppers. 119 points (£40 American golf voucher each)
• 3rd – The Swingers. 117 points (£30 American golf voucher each)
• Last place – The Bridge 52 Points (£4 junior hacksaws !)
