Charity Bridge Drive last Friday

A successful Charity Bridge Drive took place in the Public Hall last Friday lunchtime and afternoon, under the auspices of the Audlem Bridge Club.

Lunch comprised a choice of soups followed by a Ritz-style presentation of savoury goodies, prepared by the a team of volunteers from the Bridge Club, together with a glass of wine.

Then the serious bridge action commenced and after five rounds of competitive but relaxed bridge, the winners emerged as John Down and Simon Probert (pictured).

And a significant contribution was raised towards the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
