Canal & River Trust December Report

Well, it had to happen, 'snow' for this months Canal & River Trust's Volunteer Task Force Day, unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to carry out any of the work that our Team Leader 'Ange' had planned for us. So in short, all we were able to achieve was a walk of the Audlem Flight.

On our return to the Shroppie Fly area we were greeted by another member of the team who advised us that a 'New Volunteer' had arrived and was sheltering in his van. On closer investigation we found 'Buddy the Elf' (photograph attached) who will be joining us on future task force days in Audlem.

The team thanks Peter and Christine at the Audlem Mill Shop for supplying us with hot drinks and shelter from the weather.

Next task force day

Our next planned task force day will be on Saturday 13th January 2018 with a 10:00 start, meeting in our yard adjacent to the entrance to the Audlem Mill Shop.
