Two points of interest for Buerton residents arose from the meeting on Monday evening.

Red Acres development

A lively special meeting was attended by parishoners and councillors to discuss the proposed affordable homes development at Red Acres, Windmill Lane.

The developer Mark Ellis was present and answered questions and gave a lot of background information.

Although the village has no objection to such a development, there are concerns over safety of access for farm machinery and whether house occupancy will be ringfenced for Buerton residents or those with close association with the village and near area.

These concerns have been passed to Cheshire East Council and may be seen as approved by the meeting on the Buerton PC minutes.

New playground

Work on the new children's playgound on the old school playing field is scheduled to start on 8th April. and will take about 3 weeks. As soon as this is complete tarmac paths and access will be laid down so the hopefully all will be completed in a few weeks.
