The Bridge Inn Darts team march on with yet more success.

Old Eagles

On Monday 28th January, The Bridge played at home in a crowded pub full of banter and good humour. Their opponents – The Old Eagles (Whitchurch), who were no push over.

At the start of play, the Bridge Team were in a 3-way tie for the leadership slot of the league, with their opponents that night and that of The Red Cow.

Previously, The Eagles had inflicted the one and only defeat on the Bridge team early in the season. As such, this was a revenge match, with the Bridge Team pulling out all the stops and so trying to gain a win and thereby keeping the chance to go top in the team's own hands (and darts!).

A great match and The Bridge won – and won very well, with a score of 5-2. A very happy bunch of men as much beer was consumed in their victory. This now leaves The Bridge Team joint top with just The Red Cow.

Last Orders

Monday 4th February and a very tough away game at The Last Orders in Whitchurch was the next step. They too are very good opponents.

So, a minibus to the venue. The team are fired up and they step up to the mark, darts in hand for this very hard match. Playing like true champions-elect they thrash The Last Orders Team with a resounding 6-1 score!

A really fine performances. Onwards and upwards – the top spot there in sight and so close for the players.

The Bridge Team members

The team is skippered by Neil "Wobbly" Aspinall and with Mike Farnell, Julian "Fox" Adair and Ian "Shorty" Crutchley, Eric "Viking" Parkin, John Woolacott and Alan Brindley.
