Bridge Inn – accusation withdrawn

Further to the false report that the Bridge Inn at Audlem was open in contravention of the government instructions regarding Covid-19.

I am pleased to say that Cheshire East have written an unreserved apology and withdrawn the formal warning they wrongly issued.

Also since my original posts on social media and AudlemOnline expressing my frustration that somebody would, wrongly, report the Bridge Inn at Audlem for being open during lockdown. The person that made the report has withdrawn their complaint admitting they were mistaken and for that I thank them for doing the right thing on this occasion.

Finally, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all my customers, friends and fellow villagers who supported the Bridge Inn at Audlem against the false accusations that were made.

Please everyone take care and keep safe and we can look forward to the end of lockdown.
