Billy Gibbons in Cheshire Life

The front cover of the March issue of Cheshire Life includes: "Meet the Audlem man living in 1950s style." We suspect most locally will know immediately who the hero of this tale will be.

Mind you, we suspect even Billy did not realise his lifestyle would take pride of place in the county magazine with three full pages, packed with photos, on pages 14, 15 and 16, and first up in the Contents List.

We do not want to give too much away – so much better to pop into Williams' newsagents where Cheshire Life is on sale for £3.65 – but the article by Emma Mayoh starts:

It was an unorthodox welcome from Billy Gibbons "You're entering a timewarp when you step into this house. You're welcome to a biscuit but they're from 1959 and the milk's probably older than that."

Billy is featured in the photos with his rocket and Hotrod while items from the 50s such as an Avery Hardoll petrol pump and an original Bush Bakelite TV are period gems well worthy of a photo.
