The Big Shave Off tonight

Last night saw The Big Swtch On. Tonight sees The Big Shave Off.

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world.

The aim is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

This charity event reaches its climax in Audlem on Friday evening when the participants take part in "The Big Shave Off" at the Lord Combermere.

This year, their ranks have been joined by a young lady – seen here -whose parents live in Audlem and who has been wearing a moustache of many shapes and sizes all month.

She has raised a total of £1200 for the cause so far, and Ralph has persuaded her to join the event on Friday evening.

Roger Cole, her father, says:  "The funds raised are the joint effort of both my son and my daughter; he is growing a moustache in a more conventional manner; the money that they jointly raise will be increased by a matching contribution from the company that my son works for. 

"My daughter is planning to travel down from Glasgow again today so all being well we will join the fun in the Lord Combermere on Friday evening."

All are welcome to attend tonight, Friday 30th November,and watch the lads being returned to their (presumably) better-looking selves.
