Bell Ringing for John Scott

1/4 peal in memory of John Scott

On Thursday evening the Audlem bellringers rang a half-muffled quarter peal of Plain Bob Minor in memory of our colleague and friend John Scott.

The quarter peal took 48 minutes and had 1260 changes. The ringers were -- John Vickers, Chris Hughes, Christine Johnson, Jaqueline Thompson, Phil Baker and Andrew Bradshaw (conductor).

John rang at Audlem for 60 years. He was a talented and enthusiastic bellringer who encouraged us all to improve our skills, arranged many visits to other towers and constantly experimented with unusual methods. He was great fun to be with and will be sorely missed. Christine Johnson
