Yesterday morning, Monday 6th February a BBC television film crew visited the canal in Audlem (locks 14 and 15)

They requested that the Team based in Audlem demonstrated their skills in C&RT volunteering and lock keeping.

The team of five volunteers were lead by Duncan Davenport from the Canal and River Trust.

The BBC plans to televise the operation of assisting a boat through the lock system and the 'rewards of being a Volunteer Lock Keeper gives' later this week on the BBC North West Tonight news programme that is normally aired at 6:30 pm.

This will include interviews with some members of the team.

The second picture (taken by Duncan Davenport) shows the team with proud boat owner Alan who was assisted through locks 15 and 14.
