I should be editing a red top with that cheesy headline!
We fed, and, literally, watered over 50 young people on Wednesday night at Youth Club's 'Bangers & Splash' end of term do. The weather was on our side and everyone picked up the general idea within minutes of arrival and were soaking wet through- the whole point of the evening.
It was two hours of chaotic, non-stop, bomb throwing, pistol toting, water sliding and burger eating and it was absolutely brilliant.
A mention in despatches for Harry Cotterill's airbed that became THE method for the best, speediest and most pain free way of traversing the entire 60ft run of the waterslide. An inspired piece of kit that definitely completed the experience. Thanks Harry, (and as I hear your mother doesn't want it back, we're keeping it for next year!)
We could not have been more delighted by the turn out and would like to thank everyone who came along and got stuck in. The burgers, sausage, coke, lemonade, giant bubbles, water bombs, pistols and more were all made possible by the funds we raised at this year's Carnival.
So thanks Audlem for your support and see you in September.
