BBC Radio Stoke has been giving tremendous coverage to Audlem all this week in the James Watt show which runs from 1.00 – 4.00pm.

Lamont Howie has been interviewing local people and so far has featured half a dozen including Lyndsey Piper about her Artist in Residence work at Overwater Marina, Allan Brown at The Lord Combermere, AudlemOnline and how it started ten years ago and Ralph Warburton, talking about the Audlem Festival, ADAS and Audlem football club.

If we have missed anybody out, our apologies but we know there are more interviews to come today and tomorrow.

In addition, Billy Gibbons with his Rocking Rockabillies team has featured in the quiz that's run on the show with five pretty tough questions each day. The team was off to a flying start on Monday with five correct answers, showed its fallibility on Tuesday with four out of five and yesterday it was another full house – 5 out of 5.

It could going downhill today as team captain Billy is off with other media assignments. We doubt if his so-called super-subs will be able to match his broadcasting style – indeed, could anybody!

On top of all that, Tuesday saw Tim Wedgwood's show which starts immediately after the James Watt show, featuring AudlemOnline's news round-up on Tuesday at 5.25pm. This is generally a weekly feature.

We can only hope the good folk of the Potteries don't think they were suddenly tuned into BBC Radio Audlem.

But seriously, the coverage has been superb.
