Audlem WI report 6th April 2023

Audlem WI held their monthly meeting on Thursday 6th April. This was a members meeting which is held annually with several members replacing a speaker. This year four of our members demonstrated cookery and flower arrangements. Sheila Jones deamonstrated her quick and simple Lemon Pudding which never fails! Lin Nicholas made chocolate pots, again quick and simple to make and freeze well. Susan Kaufman and Jenny Sech demonstrated icing and decorating a cake with useful tips as they went along. During tea break we got to sample these delicious recipes!! Anne Watson demonstrated simple flower arranging in glasses/jars with Spring flowers out of her garden.

The Treasurer gave an update on the finances and handed out envelopes for the annual subscription which is due.

The Programme Secretary is working on the programme for rest of year and our Malbank Group Representative, Jean Cook, gave an update on planned social events, more information later in the year.

Luncheon Club is meeting again at the Shroppie Fly on the 18th April 12.30 for 1pm.

All correspondence from the Federation was displayed including many craft days and several outings to the Lowry Lyric Theatre later in the year.

Our membership continues to grow, please do come along and join our friendly group, who meet first Thursday of the month 2.00 pm at Audlem Methodist Church Hall.
