Audlem Voices & Cheshire Constabulary Band and its Corps of Drums Christmas Carol Concert

Just in case any of you have failed to spot the colourful posters dotted around the village, Jenny Collis-Smith and her amazingly talented choir, Audlem Voices, will be performing with the equally artistic Cheshire Constabulary Band and its Corps of Drums this Sunday the 15th December at 7.00pm in St James Church.

This concert will be an extremely festive Christmas affair with the band and choir performing all the usual Christmas favourites, as well as music from the classics, films and shows.

The band's Corps of Drums will also be performing a "Royal Marines" style routine before joining with the band for the theme to "The Great Escape".

A varied evening of choral and band music is certainly in store! What an exciting event! A first for Audlem Voices and not to be missed. In years to come you will be able to say, "I was there when the choir and band raised the roof in St James". What a good job it's just been repaired!

Breaking News

Breaking news from Andrew, at our local Post Office and Judy, at Williams the newsagents, who incidentally are staying open extra late to cope with the demand for our tickets (or was that something to do with the Co-op?) is that tickets are selling out fast!

Luckily for those last minute purchasers, we will be selling tickets on the door. Joe, at Audlem Printers is standing by his equipment ready to print extra copies, such is the demand, and I am checking eBay to ensure there are no ticket touts raising our unbelievably cheap price of £7.50 for this unique event!

During the concert you will be treated to a glass of mulled wine, to enhance your vocal chords, and a mince pie to really get you into the mood for the second half.

There will also be a 'Grand Raffle' with some superb prizes! We hope as many people as possible will pack into the church for our festive get together and we would particularly like to see more children – how often are they likely to be able to sing 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' with a brass band?

Audlem Voices Musical Director is Jenny Collis-Smith with Richard Lythall as their
accompanist. Cheshire Constabulary Bands Musical Director is David Woollam.
