It was a night of recognition for Audlem at the annual Cheshire Community Action awards event last night in Ellesmere Port town hall.
The village was back to winning form with four awards:
Audlem has had a tremendous record in these awards covering the whole county, East and West but 2012 saw a dip in the village's fortunes. Hankelow, however, saw great success winning the Village of the Year twelve months ago.
The plaques on the wall in the Square testify to number of times Audlem has received the Best Kept Village award in its category but this year saw the added bonus, and a huge one at that, in picking up the Overall Championship award too.
AudlemOnline won the Website of the Year award four years ago but did not enter in recent years until the redesign of the site late last year encouraged the webteam to have another go, fortunately with success. The award comes just a day after another record readership day.
Crown Courtyard, to the bottom right of our photo, has been much admired for many years and we are sure all the residents there will be delighted with this recognition.
