Our new half term has begun with some very exciting news about our Guinness World Book of Records attempt.

Sonia Kay has confirmation this week that we truly are 'Record Breakers'! In the email confirmation of this fantastic achievement, Guinness say:

"We are delighted to confirm that you have successfully achieved a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for 'Most authors signing the same book simultaneously.

"We would like to congratulate you on your record-breaking achievement. You are OFFICIALLY AMAZING." and I couldn't agree more – a truly amazing team effort from all involved!

Sonia will be visiting us soon once she has received the official certificate from Guinness.

AudlemOnline adds: Regular readers may recall our earlier story in December about this World Record attempt. It said:

On Thursday 5th December, the children of St James's School, Audlem will be taking part in a Guinness World Records® Record Attempt, for the most authors signing the same book simultaneously.

The record attempt is to promote sales of the children's gripping story "Who Ate My Roof?", featuring James the red-headed, pink pyjama wearing football fan and his arch enemy stinky Bob "big bottom"

A record breaking copy of the book will be sent as a gift from the children to His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, who was born on the day "Who Ate My Roof?" was first published.

As this is a proper book signing, signed copies will be available to purchase from our special book stand at school from 1.45pm on Thursday 5th December. Books are priced £6.00 with all proceeds going to St James's Church, Raise the Roof.
