Audlem Saints Junior Football Club have been providing FA qualified football training during the football league season on the village playing field since 2002.
In this time, we have seen countless boys and girls develop from young nervous primary school children, into adolescent teenagers who are about to embark on further education and work.
Our club has existed on the back of willing volunteers who dedicate their time and input in making the club what it is. Through good times and bad, in both the cold and wet and sometimes the snow, they have been there to provide this service for the community of Audlem.
During these seventeen years we have seen member numbers constantly evolve, and on more than one occasion we have thought the club may cease, due to lack of coaches and volunteers.
In this time, we have benefitted from kind contributions from Audlem Parish Council, Audlem Special Events Team and Crewe & Nantwich District Round Table, to which we will be eternally grateful for.
To continue to provide this valuable service to the village (all at a nominal cost to the participants) we need to pay for FA coaching courses, first aid courses, purchase of new equipment, DBS checks and countless other costs.
As we look to push forward with the club again, we are now looking at replacing our coaching tee shirts and rain jackets, to provide a more uniformed appearance for our volunteers.
With this in mind, we have been kindly offered sponsorship from a fairly local company, that is very much appreciated. This would enable the club to achieve much of what it wants to achieve to promote the right image to the children and the wider community.
This said, as a member of the public who has lived in the Village for 17 years and who has been involved in the club for around 13 years, I feel slightly uneasy at not allowing any other interested parties the opportunity to sponsor our village junior football club.
I have therefore stalled on this very kind gesture, and would therefore like to ask the village, if there are any businesses or enterprises that are more local, who would consider sponsorship in this way.
What this would entail, is a one-off contribution, in return for promoting your business on our tee shirts and rain jackets (the only one remaining original jacket has ASET embroidered on the front).
Can I please ask that any interested parties contact myself direct on (01270) 811510 or (07915) 593461 at your earliest opportunity to discuss this in readiness for the new season which starts in late August.
