Audlem Ramblers Next Walk – Llangollen Sat 20th May

Our next Long ARS walk at Llangollen led by Peter Kay is on Saturday 20th May meet Audlem Public Hall Car Park 8.30 am.

Description:-

9 miles moderate walk from Llangollen with 1,500 ft ascent. The walk starts along the canal towards Trevor before ascending to the high ground below Dinas Bran. It then climbs northwards under the Eglwyseg escarpment with a little exposed scree before descending to the Clwydian Way, going past Valle Crucis Abbey and then down to the canal and back along the towpath.

Llangollen long stay car park by the Ponsonby Arms. Parking fee £3.50

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
