Julia Cooper writes: "Has anybody else noticed that in Thursday's Times newspaper, page 63, under the headline 'Regulator faces corporate rebellion' appears a lovely photograph of Audlem? There is no mention that it is Audlem but it's used as a comparison picture to another of the 'City'.

"How lovely that our village should be chosen – does anyone know who took the photo and how it came to be in The Times' album?"

Added at 12.25pm: A copy of the Times story has now reached Audlem Online. The Audlem picture sits at the top of the page in the national newspaper and was taken from Holmes Bank. Below it is a picture of the City of London's financial district with bank HQs galore.

Unfortunately the Times' story misses the crucial point that Holmes Bank is just about the only bank pictured not to have been bailed out in the current financial crisis!
