Over the last couple weeks, on a Wednesday afternoon at around 5.30pm, AudlemOnline has been featured on BBC Radio Stoke on the Tim Wedgwood programme. It seems as if this may become a regular feature.

On this week's show, AudlemOnline's editor talked about news from that day's news stories or upcoming coverage the following day.

This included Billy Gibbons's trip to London, the History Society's talk on the Loggerheads sanatorium, ASET's call for volunteers ( which developed into a discussion on how everything in Audlem is done by volunteers) and the Mill Shop winning a Retail Craft Award.

By good fortune, a very positive Bentley Motors story was on just before the Audlem piece and as AudlemOnline's editor was responsible for relaunching the Bentley brand with the Bentley Turbo in 1982, that too became a topic of conversation.

Clearly the expansion at Crewe will be very good news for the local economy. As an aside, the launch of the Bentley Turbo is to be the subject of a talk at ADCA's Friday coffee mornings in May.

Hopefully more on Audlem on the radio next week.
