Audlem on BBC North West Tonight?

Audlem could well feature on BBC1 North West Tonight as broadcaster Mark Edwardson returned to the village for an update on the Mend our Mum campaign.

Mark covered the launch of the Amazing Grace DVD in December and said he would come back when the £100,000 target was hit and more was known about Berni's treatment.

He was filming today with Berni and Hannah Cliffe in their home and later with Alisdair MacKenzie in the Lord Combermere. Alisdair was the 'Gareth Malone' of the video production team and played a crucial role in getting all the groups and individuals to perform to exact time and in tune.

Coverage can never be guaranteed, particularly during an election campaign when there is so much going on, but hopefully the piece will go out tonight or, failing that, in the next day or so.

BBC1 North West Tonight starts at 6.30pm.
