Audlem Netball Club -- Recruiting!

On 15th November 2022, inside 'The Lord Combermere' pub and prior to the weekly quiz that previously took place there, a constitution was signed for 'Audlem Netball Club'.

Three independent individuals signed on as Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer and the club was officially formed!

The club shall consist of junior and adult members -- catering for both new and experienced players.

As an entity, Audlem Netball Club shall be completely transparent, with measures in place to ensure this.

A Welfare Officer will be installed to ensure proper safeguarding of not only club members but also club officials, with a serious focus on the correct following of protocol where our junior members are concerned. All our club volunteers will have appropriate safeguarding certificates and evidence of an enhanced DBS check in place before working with junior members or potentially vulnerable adults. Our safeguarding, anti-bullying and equality policies will be updated on a yearly basis.

Audlem Netball Club will work to assist members of the local community and we have provisional agreements in place for the following Community Ambassadors to join our Community Panel:

  • Audlem St James C of E School Representative
  • Audlem Parish Council Ambassador
  • Local PCSO Ambassador

These Community Ambassadors will be invited to attend at least one meeting per year with club officials as well as being welcome to all other meetings should they wish to. We also plan to introduce a 'Charitable Representative' in the near future, which would see efforts to boost a local charity with their fundraising initiatives!

Further to that, the introduction of an 'Events Committee' will see a core group of passionate individuals oversee the running of our club celebration nights and charitable functions.

We are currently looking for people interested in helping with the running of both our junior and adult sections before making a further announcement on membership sign ups, training days and a further, detailed introduction to our club officials and community ambassadors!
