We have agreed with Audlem Medical Practice that it would be helpful to publish the information from the practice's notice board in their reception area on AudlemOnline at regular intervals.
This is the current notice:
Audlem Medical Practice Notice Board
January 2013
We would like to wish all of our patients the very best for a happy and healthy 2013 – Happy New Year!
Many thanks to all of you who supported Dr Pete Leftwick on Movember* – he raised £274 to support Men's Health Charities.
Every year, millions of pounds of our NHS money is wasted on medicines that are not used – this is money that could otherwise be spent on improving patient care and services. Please make sure that you (or the chemist, if they manage your repeat prescription) are only ordering the medicines you want and are taking.
If you are unhappy with any of your repeat medicines for any reason, then please come and talk to us about it so we can discuss your concerns and consider other options with you, as well as ensuring your medical records are accurate and up to date.
Please remember that a routine GP appointment is for a 10 minute slot, and if you have more than 1 problem to discuss we may not be able to cover everything in the time available and may ask you to book a follow up appointment.
We apologise if sometimes we run late and you have to wait to be seen – sometimes urgent or emergency problems arise unexpectedly and seriously unwell patients or those with complex problems can require more time.
*Not a misprint as regular readers will know who read earlier stories about moustaches grown by many fund-raising men in November.
