Audlem Lass this year

Earlier this week we published news from the Audlem Lass team and the boat's schedule between Lock 15 and Overwater Marina at weekends and Bank Holidays.

This year's service will start on Good Friday and run throughout the season until late October.

We have now received this photograph showing Audlem Lass, looking extremely spick and span after her Winter service, from crew member Derek Jones. You can click on the photo to enlarge it.

Audlem Lass has a new engine, and a back-up engine just in case of a problem plus, at the Overwater pontoon, new safety fencing and hand rails have been installed to improve ease of access.

In 2011, Audlem Lass carried over 4000 passengers and collected over £4,000 in donations.  All profits go to supporting the RNLI and will continue to this year.

There will be many familiar faces and characters crewing the boat from last year and a couple of new volunteers too who have recently joined, bringing the total crew to twelve.
