A big thank you to all the grown ups and children that helped yesterday with the autumn / winter planting.

Over 30 volunteers, including 20 children, made light work of refilling the troughs and beds with compost, planting pansies and spring bulbs throughout the village.

The seasonal troughs and beds have all been completed but there is still some Autumn tidying to be done. We will be tidying up the permanent beds, including some pruning, as well as planting spring bulbs and winter pansies to give extra colour during the winter months ahead.

The AIB committee and volunteers will be out again on Sunday 26th October from 10.30am. If you have a spare hour or two please come along and help.

We would love this to be a community event so we can all take pride in the work that has been done, so would encourage everyone to come along and help and don't forget to bring gardening tools with you!

As ever, we must also thank Jo and Allan of the Lord Combermere for generously providing tea and coffee for the workers.
