Audlem FC trophy

To everyone who follows the fortunes – or more correctly – the misfortunes of the Village Football team, a very happy New Year.

We begin the New Year playing at home versus The Rising Sun Team in the President's Cup. This team of opponents is very strong being well above us in the Division One of the league. A true challenge once again for the Audlem players.

In my position of Chairman, it behoves me to do all I can to encourage all to keep their heads held high and to play to their best. To this end, like a fisherman casting a line, I have a new Man of the March Trophy, as pictured.

About 12 inches high, I hope It may inspire more from the eleven who take to the field.

Our top scorer, quite fittingly, is our Skipper, Kev Mort. Perhaps others will try to outdo him!

Do come along on Sunday 5th and give us a cheer. I will seek the votes of spectator(s) as to who is Man of the Match.
