Audlem Carnival 50 years ago

I've been sorting out some paperwotk from my parents and came across this Chronicle article.

Being Audlem born and bred my parents and their friends always entered a float in the carnival and am pleased to see that we won this year.

I thought it might be interesting for the older residents of Audlem to reminisce reading the article. I see Judy McKelvey won the fancy dress that year. It would also show new residents what a big event Audlem Carnival was.
