On Wednesday this week, an Audlem team will be meeting the judges of this year's Cheshire Community Spirit Award.

This is the first time in six years that the village has entered this particular competition run by Cheshire Community Action. When last involved, Audlem went on to win the Cheshire, North of England Village of the Year and the national Defra award for Community Spirit.

A detailed Entry Form was sent off in April answering the many questions posed about community life, local facilities, businesses and sustainability.

Much has been achieved this year and a team from the Parish Council, ADAS, ASET, Parish Plan, Audlem Festival and ADCA will tell the judges about life and events in Audlem and answer their questions.

The village is also being judged in the Best Kept Village category, an event where Audlem has seen much success in recent years.

Audlem Online is also being judged – although we have no information on when this is taking place as it's likely to be on-line – in the Cheshire Community Website of the Year award which we were fortunate enough to win last year.
