The March ARS (Audlem Rambling Society) walk is in Shropshire and is organised by Simon Probert. This is his description of the walk:-

This coming Saturday's walk (10th March) will start from Poles Coppice Nature Reserve car park situated on the minor road between Minsterley and Habberley.

We start with a short walk up the lane before entering woodland where a steady climb will take us to the highest point of the walk above Snailbeach. From there we descend to Vessons.

There follows an easy, but possibly muddy section, before a gradual climb along the flanks of Huglith Hill. We then pick up The Marches Way for an easy stroll to Habberley. Refreshments available at the Inn.

After a flat section from Habberley we climb to the trig point on Earls Hill. This is a steep climb but relatively short and is worth the effort for the views alone, weather permitting of course. A steep descent followed by some easy walking eventually takes us back to the car park.

The total distance of the walk is 10 miles and involves about 1800 feet ascent. I would therefore put it in the upper 3 boot range.

I suggest we meet at 8.30am at Audlem car park.
