The Audlem Ramblers (ARS) will be off to North Wales this coming Saturday. Two walks are on offer. The 'A' route is about 13 miles – a 3-4 Boot walk starting just off the Bala/Dolgellau Road and going up Aran Fawddwy and Aran Benllyn finishing at the pub in Llanuwchllyn, at the end of Bala lake. Either a bus or a taxi can be used to get the drivers back to the start – whilst the remainder languish in the pub.

Those that have been on a recce say the walk isn't particularly hard – just quite long – with about 1000m of ascent – nothing overly aggressive! There is an extra 2 miles at the start for those that want to take in an extra peak called Glasgwm.

The 'B' walk is a gentle 5.5 mile walk from a similar start point – this walk is part of the 'famous' Mary Jones Walk and contours along the river back to the same pub in Llanuwchllyn

There is likely to be an 8.00am start in the car park – if different, Audlem Online will carry an update later in the week. At least four cars will be needed as one car needs to be dropped off in Llanuwchllyn for the 'B' walkers – they need to be then dropped off by some of the 'A' walkers on route to the start of the 'A' walk. It sounds complicated but anybody that can complete the new Sudoku puzzles on Audlem Online will work their way through the logistics in about 15 seconds.
