ARS Saturday Walk Report

After the unfortunate but necessary late cancellation, it was a pleasure to witness the way walks were originally decided and planned – ie at a pub 1 or possibly 2 days before the walk!

Well done to Susie and Charles Cavill who not only suggested but also reconnoitred the walk which then through modern communications attracted 18 souls to a 7 mile walk last Saturday.

We started by the mere at Hanmer – discovering that there were 3 ladies (mermaids?) out for their regular swim, and a dilemma over parking so as not to interfere with the 2 weddings taking place that day.

We set out as the bells welcomed the first bride to complete a figure of 8 journey around and about Hanmer.

Excellent day out!
