Heralded as the highlight of the Audlem Social Calendar, ARS (Audlem Ramblers Club) held its annual Christmas Dinner at the Lord Combermere in Audlem on Saturday evening (December 9th).
The party was well attended by many Long ARS's, Short ARS's, Mid-ARS's, some Smart-ARS's and even one or two Tight-ARS's.
The President, Christine Johnson, gave a commendably short address, although not quite matching the brevity of the legendary speeches given in the early years of ARS by the original ARS President.
The food was excellent, the wine flowed freely, all served expertly, as always, by Brittany and her team.
And, towards the end of the evening, Santa Claus appeared and helpfully provided a simple way of getting rid of all that loose cash that seems to accumulate at Christmas time.
