Apple Pressing this Saturday

Saturday September 13th

ADAPT will be organising the first of the village Community Apple and Pear pressings for 2025 this Saturday 10:30am till 2pm
in the Audlem Methodist Chapel Car Park.

Calling everyone that has access to ripe apples and pears,--
Just bring your washed fruit and plenty of containers, and get them made into juice free of charge.

It's fun for accompanied children and adults alike who will be encouraged to help.
Pressing can be messy, so old clothes recommended.
You have many options for your juice. :

• Making fresh apple juice to drink within a week,
• Cider will take a little longer,
• Cider vinegar,
• Freeze the juice,
• Use it in recipes,
• Pasturise it for keeping up to 3years.

Don't allow your fruit to go to waste, bring it along.

We have a few demijohns and 5 gallon fermenters for sale if needed.

There will be a further Community Apple Pressing later in the year, when the later apples are ready to harvest.
