Our readers will have noticed that Builders, Anwyl Homes have now started clearing the land previously known as the Gladman site on the outskirts of the village towards Nantwich in preparation for starting construction. It involves the construction of 120 homes and includes planning conditions on funds for local Brine Leas school and healthcare.

In the past, however, it has been stated by our local medical practice that they would not be able to serve increased patient numbers, so whether this healthcare fund donation will see its way to help our local surgery remains to be seen.

This is the latest press release from Anwyl Homes.

ANWYL CONFIRMS FIRST LAND ACQUISITION IN AUDLEM

Award-winning housebuilder Anwyl Homes is pleased to announce that it has acquired its first piece of land for residential development in Audlem.
The 13.6 acre site on Audlem Road is situated in a scenic rural setting which is surrounded by charming Cheshire countryside. It also benefits from a good location close to the village centre of Audlem and is only 11km from the historical market town of Nantwich.

Anwyl Homes has already secured planning permission for a prestigious scheme of 120 properties. The new residential development will be known as Heathfields and will offer a superb selection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes with 30% being affordable properties.
Renowned for its exceptional design and excellent build standards, each of the properties at Heathfields will feature carefully considered floor plans and a high quality specification. A range of different house types will be available, providing plenty of choice for potential purchasers.

Mathew Anwyl, Housing Managing Director at Anwyl Homes, comments: "It is wonderful news that we have acquired land and secured planning consent for our first residential development in the village of Audlem.
"As a company we have forged a reputation for building thoughtful homes and the proposed properties for Heathfields are no exception; the collection of two, three, four and five bedroom houses will certainly appeal to a broad spectrum of buyer, from first-time-buyers to families, young professional and those looking to downsize.
"We are looking forward to construction starting on site in Audlem. This site perfectly complements the other three developments we currently have in Cheshire."

In addition to the new development, Anwyl Homes has made a significant financial investment in the locality as part of planning consent, including a £261,000 contribution to secondary education to increase Brine Leas in Nantwich, and contributing £116,000 to healthcare.
A further transport contribution of £10,000 was made and will be used towards implementing an extension of the current 30mph speed limit zone on Audlem Road and Cheshire Street.

Anwyl Homes has also included public open space with play equipment on site, as well as introducing new and improving existing footpaths.
Construction will start at the end of this month and Anwyl Homes will open a sales cabin on site in March, followed by a showhome in June.

Prices have yet to be released. Interested purchasers are invited to register their interest by contacting Anwyl Homes on 03300 244944 or visit here
