Audlem's Annual Village Meeting took place on Wednesday evening.

There was a celebratory air due to Cheshire East refusing the planning application for another 34 homes on open countryside at the edge of the village earlier in the day.
Around 70 people attended to enjoy this sociable occasion, enjoying wine and nibbles and, of course, delicious LLLovely chocolates.

This year the meeting had a rural theme, focusing on the countryside and wildlife surrounding Audlem and ways of accessing it. Residents attending were able to learn more about the Parish Paths initiative to record all the used paths and tracks in the Parish, ADAPT's cycle route mapping, and the Wheelybus project, as well as AWEG's beautiful photographic records of local wildlife
and ADAS's work to fill the village with natural beauty.
Additionally, Audlem's police officer PC Sarah Marson and local sergeant Ian Bennett attended to talk to residents.

TAVA promoted their upcoming event: Luke Wright- "What I learned from Johnny Bevan", and APHAx had the latest information on the annexe including how to join the gym!

Kirstin Dixon
Audlem Parish Clerk
