AudlemOnline's news story about blocked drains in Bagley Lane has set off a series of complaints about problems elsewhere.

Yesterday we reported on blocked gullies in Green Lane and Whitchurch Road; today is a report on problems to the east of the village centre. That only leaves roads to the north for us to report on!

A resident says: "The gullies on the main Audlem to Woore road between the Salford/School
lane junction and the Baptist church have been full and blocked for a number of weeks causing the width of the road to be flooded on the road bridge when it rains.

"Instead of the water from Bath lane and the Woore road flowing into the brook, it pours down School lane and Salford damaging verges and creating mud and gets splashed over the sides of the bridge causing damage in my garden.

"I have reported these on Cheshire East's on-line reporting system as a group and individually but nothing seems to change, its a complete waste of time.

"Indeed, it's no better than their on-line street light reporting system. When I reported lights out last time (I reported 3 out within 10m of each other) by moving the flag onto the
offending light to let it describe its location. When only one was repaired (eventually) I enquired why the others so close by were not done at the same time.

"The guy responsible for fixing them eventually phoned me to say he couldn't find them from the (their) computer generated description. I suggested he looked at the map that I had used to show the locations (their map).

""Oh," he said, "that is not made available to us!" "What a load of pylons, it really makes you want to give up trying."
