Thursday night, what to do? Ah, yes, live music on at the Lord Combermere, bit of music, nice beer and a chat.

Yes, live music, order a beer, forget the chat, what a fantastic sound, sweet vocals underpinned by a ukele, and no other sound in the pub – no the pub was not empty, a healthy number of folk were glued to every word uttered from Elly Kingdon as she worked her way effortlessly through her set. A natural charm, and a great talent opening the evenings entertainment.

Accompanied by Ray on keyboards, Jason Johnson delivered his latest penned work from his recently released CD, a tale of two halves. Jason always performs with a passion and his latest works really work well with or without his band.

A shame Jason didn't push the CD sales while he was here and, as promised, there's a link to find out more below the photo.

What do you mean there's more, another duo. This is a small village that just loves live music, and Allen and Jo, mine hosts of the Lord C, really do back these nights with the help of a few keen helpers.

Apparently this is the second visit that Adam Gorman & Jo Dudderidge have made here. The heart of the much acclaimed The Travelling Band did not disappoint. These two combine superb harmonies and deft playing to create their sound with a performance that you cannot hide from – sheer talent and well worth a walk to a local pub. Want more, well the band are offerring free tracks at www.thetravellingband.com – do yourself a favour.

So, live in or near Audlem, switch that telly off because there is another superb duo playing live at the local tonight, the Folkwits at the Bridge Inn.

And to top off a great three days of live music, the Acoustic Sessions at the Blue Cafe is a sell out tomorrow night at Audlem's premier music venue, the Audlem Scout & Guide Hall. You're all spoilt, enjoy....
