Alice's family would like to thank the people of Audlem, for their generosity.

As many who knew Alice Horton (née Buckley) will know, she became a victim of Motor Neurone Disease and lost her fight in October 2010.

After the huge turn out at her funeral, her family realised just how well known and thought of Alice was. It was a great comfort to them at a very difficult time.

The money which was donated after the funeral was gathered, and passed onto the Cheshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The final sum was £1065. To say the family were 'blown away' by this, is an understatement.

We believe the money will be used to help the MND care for the Cheshire people who are unfortunate enough to be burdened with this cruel illness.

So, from Alice's family – Wayne, Bernard, Jim, Maureen, Carey, Sally and Kris – "Thank You" to every one who gave donations to the MND collection. You should all be proud of yourselves. We know Alice would be.
